The DormVault was developed because friends and neighbors were looking for a safe to use in their dorm room or apartment that wouldn't be too big, too heavy or violate the strict rules with regards to dorm or apartment furniture and walls in a college town. The safe design originated from technology developed in the Self-Service Carwash industry. Remote sites, without attendants, self-service carwashes have security issues that are some of the most challenging in the market today. The DormVault incorporates proven theft prevention strategies that work in severe environments.
